Job Description

The purpose of this job is to oversee all of the company’s income tax matters including including federal and state income tax return preparation and review, tax notice and audit management.

In this role you will: 

  1. Oversee, lead, and set priorities for the tax team
  2. Select, coach, train, and develop direct reports, to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviews
  3. Serve as subject matter expert in income tax matters; research projects on taxability, answer internal and external tax questions, and resolve important tax issues 
  4. Perform tax return reviews
  5. Manage tax audit and other tax associated projects
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in accounting, business, JD, or equivalent professional degree required
  • Minimum seven years’ multistate tax experience
  • Minimum five years’ supervisory experience required
  • Law license or Certified Public Accountant
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage and lead a team
  • Teamwork, problem solving, and conflict management skills
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including public speaking skills as well the ability to communicate financial principles and practices with non-finance team members
  • Ability to set priorities, multitask, meet deadlines, and resolve problems with a high sense of urgency
  • General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • Lift up to 20 pounds.
